Refund policy

QUALITY

Every item I produce is made one at a time, by hand, using heritage craft methods and without automated equipment or machinery. I use quality, natural materials, therefore slight variation between brooms can occur and no two brooms will be exactly alike.

Despite every effort to provide accurate images of each broom's colour and design, actual colours and design may vary slightly due to different device screen settings, photography lighting, and other factors. In purchasing from Bristol Broomworks, you agree to accept the small risk that there could be a slight variation between the actual colour and design received, and the representation on our website. Products that are true one of a kind items (where only one has been created) will be noted in the product description.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Your Right to Return

If you purchase a ready-made broom from me online, you have the right to cancel your order and return it within 14 days of receiving it, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You don't need to give a reason.

To exercise your right to return, please email me at hello@bristolbroomworks.com within 14 days of receiving your broom to notify me of your intention to return it.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, your broom must be:

  • Unused and in the same condition that you received it
  • In its original packaging
  • The bristles must not have been trimmed nor any part of the broom altered in any way

Return Postage

You are responsible for the cost of returning the item to me. We recommend using a tracked postal service as I cannot be responsible for items lost in return transit.

Refunds

Once I receive and inspect your returned broom, I will process your refund within 14 days. I will refund the full amount you paid, including the original standard delivery charge.

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.

Made-to-Order Brooms (Exempt from Returns)

Brooms made to your specific requirements (including choice of size, fibre colour, twine colour, and hanger type) are bespoke items created especially for you. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, made-to-order items are exempt from the 14-day return right and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your broom arrives damaged or develops a fault due to a manufacturing defect, please contact me at hello@bristolbroomworks.com within 48 hours of receipt (for damage) or as soon as you notice the fault. Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the damage or fault
  • A brief description of the issue

I will handcraft a replacement and send it to you at no additional cost within a reasonable time, typically 2-3 weeks depending on current production schedules. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Our Quality Guarantee

We stand behind the quality and durability of our brooms. With proper care, they will last for decades. If you experience any issues with your broom, please get in touch and we will do everything we can to make it right.
