A Heritage Craft Hand broom for Modern Life
Perfect for small spaces where beauty meets function: keyboards, kitchen counters, hearths, vehicles, tents, camper vans, art studios, workshop benches, mudrooms, and anywhere you'd use a dustpan and brush.
Handcrafted using pre-industrial heritage methods still practised by broom makers around the world. This hand broom features a round broom construction, stitched flat and finished beautifully with a woven grip which is surprisingly durable, efficient and beautiful. The grip is woven with stalks of broomcorn soaked in water and dried using traditional techniques passed down through generations of craftspeople.
This timeless broom shape remains in use across the globe, adapted with regional materials but virtually unchanged in its essential design.
Materials: Natural broomcorn (sorghum), double twist poly twine in brown, leather hanging loop.
Dimensions: Approximately 33cm L x 130cm W x 5cm D and weighs 100g
About Bristol Broomworks: A self-taught broom maker, Jamie Dun hand ties small batches of brooms and brushes in a barn loft on a Somerset flower farm. Each broom is made one at a time, without electricity or machinery. Recognised by Country Living Magazine as one of 40 of the Best Artisans 2025. A member of Heritage Crafts, MAKE Southwest, and Find A Maker (Craft Festival).
